Remote Buying – What to Expect

Remote buying doesn’t have to be a shot in the dark, we are thorough and transparent so you know exactly what to expect from your remotely purchased electric car.

We achieve our high level of remote purchase customer satisfaction by being as thorough, honest, and transparent as possible, so you know exactly what to expect when your car arrives.  We make sure that there are no surprises for you, and you are totally thrilled by your new car.

We always do a really good job for all our customers, and we hope that shows through with the high standard of the car we will deliver to you.

Well Prepared

All our cars are prepared to an extremely high standard, as we like our cars to be as tidy and as like-new as possible. We make sure that noteworthy cosmetic imperfections are removed where possible and practical, depending on the age and price point of the vehicle concerned.

As we sell used cars, you should expect some general wear and tear relative to the car’s age and mileage, however, we do our absolute best to make our cars as like-new as possible for you.

Fully Valeted

Every car is fully valeted inside and out prior to coming onto our forecourt for photos and videos. The car is then re-valeted and thoroughly sanitised before it goes out for delivery.

Fully Charged

When you purchase an EV remotely we make sure that every car is delivered with at least a 75% charge, so you can go for a drive straight away.

Test driven by us

Our technicians test-drive every car to check performance, steering and brakes, as well as to look for any unexpected noises or vibrations. If we discover anything we don’t like, we fix it before the car is even listed.

The car then undergoes a second inspection prior to delivery, just to be extra thorough and to make sure nothing has been missed.

Recent MOT and Service

As well as our inspections we will also make sure your car has at least 6 months until its next MOT is required at a minimum, and we will make sure it is at least 6 months until a service is due.

In most cases, our cars go out with closer to 12 months MOT and a year until their next service.

Tyres

All tyres will have a minimum tread depth of 2.5mm across at least 80% of the tyre’s width. This is well above the legal limit of 1.6mm. If we replace a tyre, we match it to a new mid-range equivalent.

Tyres are matched by tyre size, speed rating and load index. All our cars also come supplied with an emergency tyre sealant kit.

Lots of Photos and an Appraisal Video

We always take lots of high-quality photos of all our cars inside and out. There may be some additional wear and tear and minor marks that aren’t immediately visible in the images, however, we do a full appraisal video for each car, and between the video and photos, you should be able to see any relevant marks. In our appraisal videos, we will go around the whole car to point out any marks or minor damage we have spotted that we think are noteworthy, as well as giving the car an overall and honest assessment of its general condition.

We are as thorough as possible, however, some marks as so minor as to be considered non-noteworthy, and equally some marks are so minor that they may be missed. We may not be able to display and call out every single imperfection on a car, but we always make sure anything noteworthy is fully identified, so there should be no surprises when your car arrives.
